Stars tell you about the camping site
Finnish camping sites are being reclassified and, so far, about 100 have been awarded a star category. A one-star camping site provides basic services and a five-star site the best possible services.

* One Star Class
Minimum capacity of tents and caravans 25, minimum area of the pitch 80-100 square meter, supervision on the site during the daytime, toilets, showers, cooking facilities, dish washing facilities, service buildings illuminated, slop sink for caravans, telephone.

** Two Star Class
In addition to the above mentioned: Marked roadways, 20% of caravan pitches with electric hook-ups, tent pitches, reception, supervision on the site from 7 am to 11 pm shower with warm water, washing facilities with warm water, dish washing facilities with warm water, kiosk, outdoor grill, children´s playground.

*** Three Star Class
In addition to the above mentioned: Surfaced and illuminated roadways, 50% of caravan pitches with electric hook-ups, 100% of caravan pitches in winter camping sites with electric hook-ups, separate tent pitch area, tourist information, advance booking possible, in- and out-checking with Camping Card, supervision on the site day and night, nursery room for babies, dining room, washing machine, waste disposal system for motorhomes, sauna, cafeteria selling foodstuffs, common room, activities, bathing facilities, public telephone, postal service, map of the site, cabins, cottages or room accommodation.

**** Four Star Class
In addition to the above mentioned: 75 % of caravan pitches with electric hook-ups, advance booking possibility year round, personnel with good language skills, separate pitches for motorhomes, service buildings / sanitary installations are heated including: toilets, showers, washing facilities, cooking- and dining room, common room, TV in common room, waste sorting point, cafeteria selling meals.

***** Five Star Class
In addition to the above mentioned: Supervision around the clock, all service buildings / sanitary installations heat insulated, baby-sitter service, restaurant, wide range of activities, site illuminated, in some cottages/rooms toilet, shower, kitchenette and TV.
